Job Opportunity

Position: RRT/CRT

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist with a focus on Neuro Diagnostics to join our team. This position offers a 3x12 night shift schedule, providing essential care to patients across various age groups. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience in the field.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
• Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, CRT or RRT
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must be able to float between similar units
• Pending licenses are accepted

Core Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care for patients, including but not limited to the following:

• Management of ventilation strategies (BiPAP, CPAP)
• Demonstrating expertise in the care of patients with ARDS, aspiration, and COVID-19
• Performing aerosol medication delivery, including setup for masks and tracheostomies
• Assisting in high-risk deliveries and neonatal care
• Conducting procedures such as capillary and umbilical blood gas analysis
• Providing pulmonary hygiene and nebulization treatment
• Interpreting arterial blood gases and managing oxygen therapy

Preferred Skills and Equipment Knowledge

• Familiarity with medications such as Albuterol, Nitric Oxide, and Tobramycin
• Experience with equipment such as Draeger and Bellavista
• Proficient in mask fitting and monitoring vital respiratory parameters (End-Tidal CO2, O2 Saturation)

This position will involve direct patient care for a diverse age range, including:

• Neonates
• Infants
• Children
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatrics

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

The Respiratory Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including:

• Respiratory Services
• Rapid Response Teams
