Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in radiology and cardiology, with a strong background in performing various X-ray procedures.
Key Details
- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
- Location: Seattle, WA
- Orientation Hours: 40 hours
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Preferred experience in teaching hospitals and community hospitals
- Experience with Trauma Level I and II is preferred
Certification and Licensure
The following certifications are required or preferred:
- ARRT R
- BLS
- Washington State license (must be in hand)
Essential Skills
The candidate should possess skills in the following areas:
- Abdomen/GI Procedures: Decubitus, Supine (KUB), Upright
- Upper Extremity Imaging: AC joints, Elbow, Shoulder, and Trauma Imaging
- Lower Extremity Imaging: Ankle, Knee, and Trauma Imaging
- Spine and Pelvis Imaging
- Chest and Thorax Imaging: Chest routines and Upper Airway
- Fluoroscopy Studies: Barium Swallow, Contrast Enema, Trauma Cases
- Mobile/Surgical Imaging: Experience with C-Arm procedures
Work Settings
The technician will work in a variety of settings, including:
- Adult Acute Care
- Adult Outpatient
- Bedside/Portable Procedures
- Emergency Department
- ICU
- Operating Room
- Pediatric Acute and Outpatient Care
Patient Care Details
Comfortable working with diverse patient age groups including:
- Neonates
- Infants
- Children
- Adults
- Elderly patients
Additional Skills & Knowledge
- Infection Prevention and Isolation Precautions
- Preparation and Administration of Contrast Media
- Radiation Safety Practices
Special Equipment Familiarity
Experience with the following equipment is preferred:
- GE
- PACS
- Philips
- Siemens
- Toshiba
