Description
Radiation Therapist Travel Position
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- Unit: Radiation Oncology at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute
- Patient Volume: Treat approximately 45-55 patients per day on 2 linear accelerators
- Patient Ratios: 2 radiation therapists per machine
- Staffing:
- 2 front desk staff
- 2-3 RNs
- 5 therapists
- 2 dosimetrists
- 2 physicists
- 1 dietitian
- 1 social worker
- 1 director
- Equipment:
- 2 TrueBeam linear accelerators (latest installed 1 month ago, first installed in 2017)
- 1 GE CT Simulator
- Elekta HDR
- Documentation System: ARIA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to approximately 4:00-4:30 PM
- Floating Policy: Not applicable
- Patient Experience: Press Ganey scores around 95%
- Certifications & Accreditations:
- ACR accredited for radiation oncology
- Commission on Cancer accredited
- NAPBC accredited
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years TrueBeam experience
- Experience with Align RT (Vision RT) surface guidance system
- ARIA documentation system experience
- Advanced skills preferred:
- DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold) procedures
- VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
- SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
- Surface Guidance
Certifications & Licenses
- Required:
- ARRT (T) Certification
- BLS Certification
- Valid Radiation Therapist License
Dress Code
- Caribbean blue scrubs required
