Job Description
The unit cares for patients with:
- STEMI/NSTEMI
- Chest Pain rule out
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Noninvasive Ventilation
- Cardiothoracic surgery after ICU
- Administration of antiarrhythmic IV medications
- Peripheral vascular compromise
Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience required
- Cardiac Experience: Must have cardiac experience (not just ICU)
- Flexibility: No block scheduling; flexibility required
- Recent Traveler Experience: Highly preferred
Profile Requirements
- Work History
- Skills Checklist (Stepdown/PCU Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty)
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms (taken within the last two years)
- Licensure & Certifications: Oklahoma State License or compact, BLS (AHA), NIH certification
- Candidates' Permanent Address (local candidates considered at a reduced rate)
Additional Information
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Unit Size: 33 bed cardiovascular care unit
- Orientation:
- Nursing Travelers start orientation on Thursdays
- Expect about 6 hours of modules to complete prior to start
- Compensation of $250 for completing modules before the start date
