Job Opportunity: RRT - Respiratory Therapy (Travel)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Department: Respiratory Services
  • Number of Beds: 854
  • Number of Staff: 120
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
    • Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
  • Patient Ratios: 10 - 25 patients per therapist
  • Equipment Used:
    • GE R860 Adult ventilators
    • Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators
    • Newport HT70 transport ventilator
    • V60 Non-invasive device
    • Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Floating Areas: All Critical Care units and floors
  • Dress Code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
  • Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Adult patients
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Typical procedures involve care across adult, neonatal, and pediatric populations using advanced respiratory equipment.
  • Candidates without the required NC Respiratory License and certifications will not be considered.
