Job Opportunity: CT Tech - Radiology (Travel)

Location: Spruce Pine, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

• Critical Access Hospital with 25 inpatient beds and 12 ER beds
• Services include emergency, pre-natal/post-natal care, obstetrics/gynecology, critical care, rehabilitation, cancer services, orthopedics, surgery, cardiology, wound care, imaging (CT, MRI, mammography, nuclear studies), and more
• Imaging department includes modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, CT, and X-ray

Unit Information

• Total imaging staff: 28 (all modalities)
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Weekend coverage includes 2 multi-modality techs and 1 ultrasound tech on call
  • Night Shift: 1 multi-modality (CT/X-ray) tech and 1 ultrasound tech on call
• Equipment: GE Optima, GE Tempo
• EMR: Citrix (Cerner), Phillips PACS
• Patient types: Outpatient, inpatient, emergency (all ages)
• Procedures: Without and with contrast studies, whole body scans, Code Stroke with perfusion

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
• ARRT certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Solid black scrubs
• No weekend or on-call requirements
