Description
Job Opportunity: L&D RN Supervisor
Location: Lamar, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide interim supervisory support to the Birthing Center Manager during the assignment. Ensure continuity of operations, staff competency, and compliance with organizational policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations and patient care delivery in collaboration with the Birthing Center Manager.
- Implement and reinforce established policies, clinical protocols, and procedures.
- Provide staff education, orientation support, and competency validation as needed.
- Promote compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a clinical and operational resource to staff and leadership during the assignment.
- Participate in the nursing rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM certification
- STABLE certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience working with neonate patients
- OB/GYN experience
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience
Special Demands

- Strong communication skills with employees, physicians, visitors, administration, and the public.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with diverse groups requiring independent judgment.
Physical:
- Competency to operate position-related equipment and perform technical procedures.
- Ability to speak professionally and exercise supervision and management skills.

- This role reports directly to the Birthing Center Manager.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
