CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bloomington, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Case Information

• Work involves CT exams for ER patients, in-patient, and out-patient settings
• Required CT experience with: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, CT Angiography (CTAs), Multiplanar reconstruction
• Required skills: IV starts & Contrast administration
• Preferred experience: PACS, Siemens equipment, FUJI PACS
• Preferred case types: Aspirations/Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, Colonography, CT Arthrography, Drainage, Myelography
• Community hospital experience is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Indiana (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• National certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • ARRT Advanced Certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including:

  • 7-year work/lived history verification
  • SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
  • Education verification and transcript/diploma (official copies required)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 12 months (approved respirators only)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
  • Tuberculosis test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap strongly recommended
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
• Skills checklist and competency exams required annually
• References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with supervisory titles, verified within 2 years
• Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps of 30+ days
