Description
Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Shift: Days (4 x 8-hour shifts, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 32 hours
Alternative Shifts: Saturday and Sunday 12-hour shifts, or Monday 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM (if preferred)
Job Summary
- Perform radiographic procedures with technical independence, applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Collect patient medical history and answer patient questions about imaging procedures.
- Follow provider instructions on imaging areas and guide patients safely and comfortably through the process.
- Operate imaging equipment proficiently with a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques across all patient populations.
- Collaborate with providers regarding imaging results and determine if additional images are needed.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
