Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts of 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30)
Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as assigned
Call: As assigned within staff rotation
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including CT and X-ray following established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine radiographic studies.
- Ensure radiation safety for both operator and patient.
- Use GE and Toshiba/Cannon imaging equipment.
- Typical department volume: 270-290 scans per day.
- Work in a Level I Trauma hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Registered with ARRT in CT (Computed Tomography)
- Registered with ARRT in XR (Radiography)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Eligibility
- Traveler’s permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility location to apply.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid driver’s license/state ID (if driving is part of job duties).
- 7-year background check completed within 1 year before start date, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, and sanctions screening.
- Physical exam within 2 years prior to start, indicating clearance to work without restrictions.
- Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (marijuana tested, no medical marijuana exemptions).
- Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year of start (if respirator use required).
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- TB test (2 PPDs, QGold, TSpot, or MTB) within 6 months of start.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative or equivocal.
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters or proof of disease if negative.
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination form accepted.
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required for the flu season.
- Completion of OhioHealth candidate agreements and confidentiality policies prior to start.
- Fingerprinting required on-site or at approved locations before or on first day of orientation.
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and unit-specific exams required within 2 years of start.
- Color blindness testing required if candidate fails online color exam.

- Facility uses EPIC EMR system.
- Dress code includes charcoal grey scrubs.
- Call responsibilities are shared within staff rotation.
