Will accept MI license pending One supervisor reference required. No more than 5 days of RTO PAC (Pediatric Acute Care) Will be a float RN between (7East: Hematology/Oncology-BMT Unit, 11West, Pediatric Congenital Heart Unit, 12East, Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit, 12West, Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit). 9 Travelers needed for our Peds acute care area. Need MI license and recent pediatric experience in a level one facility. Inpatient experience. Recent travel experience preferred, not required. Provide nursing care to a variety of patients, across a wide range of Pediatric Medical and Surgical Specialties ages infant to young adult. Pediatric Medical and Surgical Specialties include: Hematology, Oncology, Cardiology, Thoracic Surgery, Trauma, Nephrology, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Liver Transplant, Genetics, Otolaryngology, and Plastic Surgery. Family centered care is provided through collaboration with health care team members. 11 West is a 32 bed monitored unit, 22 acute care beds and 10 moderate care beds. We are one part of the Congenital Heart Center (MCHC) which is an integrated medical, surgical, nursing and administrative program within Children’s hospital. Since its inception in 1995, the MCHC has provided services to patients from 17 countries and 43 states. 11 West patients come from state, regional, national and international referrals. 12 East is a 32 bed medical, surgical, and general care unit focused on pediatric surgery, pulmonary care, and gastroenterology. We are committed to the patients, their families, and helping each other provide the best possible experience during a hospitalization. 12 West is a 32-bed pediatric medical-surgical unit. Our patient age ranges from infant to 18 years. The primary services on the unit are Pediatric: Endocrinology, Genetics, General Blue, General Gold, Maxillofacial Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonary- Stable Ventilator, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Surgery- Trauma, Urology, Renal Transplant, Vascular Surgery. 7 East nurses provide expert, knowledgeable nursing care to pediatric Hematology/Oncology-BMT patients and their families. Our goal is to enhance our patients' quality of care in an environment conducive to education, research, and patient care. This unit practices family-centered primary nursing, with active primary nursing involvement in team meetings, treatment plans, and other decisions involving patient populations.
