JOB SUMMARYMaternal-Child Health (MCH) Nurses, under general supervision, deliver care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children and families across the continuum of care, and across the woman's lifespan utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with AWHOHNN Standards For Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns,7th Edition (2009). Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and their significant others, while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.
