Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin!We are seeking a Registered Nurse:· Join a team of REMARKABLE nurses that use compassion and teamwork to care for their inspiring patients.· F6/4 is a 27-bed medical and surgical unit. It is the home unit to the Outpatient Short Stay patient population as well as the Hospitalist 4 patients. Outpatient Short Stay: We are preassigned patients from ENT, Gynecology, Urology, Neurosurgery, Plastics and General Surgery. We also care for patients originating in Interventional Radiology, APC procedures and E case eye surgeries.Hospitalist 4:These patients come to us from the Emergency Department, clinics, outside facilities and home. They are admitted with a variety of different medical diagnoses and multiple comorbidities.The staff on this unit excels at time management and effective patient throughput. It is routine for this unit to have multiple admissions an discharges within a day. Staff work together to ensure that all patient needs are met, patient satisfaction is high and throughput is expedited as appropriate to ensure we are able to care for the patients seeking care. · Nurses are able to connect and form therapeutic relationships with patients.· Youll be actively involved in cutting edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes.· Nurses are encouraged and supported to participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change. · Participate in a teaching and learning culture: always seeking out the why to understand both problems and solutions.Minimum Requirements:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile).Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. *Will consider candidates without WI or compact license but must apply for a temporary license under Act10 order within 48 hours of offer accepted and provide screenshot of application submitted. Traveler must complete this requirement prior to being cleared to start.Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.Traveler must have one successful assignment as travel RN (13 weeks).Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only)BLS (American Heart Association only)Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma centerTelemetry Competency:(Please note the Inpatient/Outpatient OR RNs do not complete telemetry) All agency travelers must demonstrate competency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms before your orientation begins. Previous completion of PALS, ACLS, etc. is not acceptable as a demonstration of this competency. Instead, you will be expected to satisfactorily complete a 20 question test which consists of multiple choice questions and write-in rhythm identification. You must pass with an overall score of 80% and correctly identify 100% of the 4 life-threatening rhythms for your patient population (adult or peds).
