HCA Florida JFK Hospital is offering a great program for Registered Nurses! The Cath Lab Plus Nurse Specialty Program is a unique opportunity that provides a pathway for experienced Acute Care Registered Nurses to transition into the Cardiac Cath Specialty. It is innovatively designed to provide intense training for experienced nurses with a passion to work in the Cath Lab setting.

$20,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE for Qualified Candidates! 

 The Cath Lab Nurse Specialty Program will be offered:

  • June 26, 2023

Program Details:

The Cath Lab Nurse Specialty Program will last for approximately eleven (11) weeks:

  • The first four (4) weeks include a combination of interactive classroom discussions, case studies, online learning, hands-on skills training, and simulation with experienced clinical instructors
  • The remaining seven (7) weeks are spent at the facility working with an experienced clinical nurse preceptor in the Cath Lab
  • Attendance is mandatory for the entire program

 What does the Cath Lab Plus Program include?

  • Curriculum based on evidence-based practice, National Procedural Standards and HCA Healthcare Clinical Standards of Excellence
  • AHA Basic Life Support / Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Basic Dysrhythmia
  • Perioperative medication management
Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • You will manage efficient flow of Cardiovascular Lab patients including screening and assessments
  • You will educate patients and families regarding treatment and medication instructions
  • You will administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Performs specialized nursing care in all phases of the Cardiovascular Lab.

What you will need in this role:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Call required

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
