Job Summary: The X-Ray Technologist operates or oversees the operation of radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. Responsibilities include preparing patients for radiological procedures, adhering to safety measures to ensure compliance with regulations, and maintaining the safety of patients and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- New York State License (L.R.T)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)
- Competency in performing diagnostic procedures
- Excellent communication skills in a team environment
- Ability to create a safe and effective environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Additional Information:
- No experience required
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by meeting regulatory CME requirements
- Adheres to infection control policies and procedures
- Completes yearly Age-Specific Competency
