Description
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, day/evening shift. Monday – Friday with start times ranging from 6:30AM – 9:00AM. May required occasional evening shift coverage. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Pay:
- External hires may be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
- This position includes a $2.75 per hour float differential.
- Additional compensation components include:
- evening differential
- overtime

Play an essential role in the quality and safety of patient care by providing accurate diagnostic and treatment information.
We are seeking a Senior Medical Lab Technician (MLT) – Float to:
- Provide daily support to other laboratory staff with regard to laboratory policies, procedures and workflow as a lead position within the clinical laboratory.
- Perform the general responsibilities of a medical lab tech in addition to having the oversight of or work in a lead capacity to any of the following: quality control, proficiency testing, competency testing, training, continuing education and laboratory information systems.
- Resolve problems that require significant independent interpretation and judgment.
- Perform moderately complex diagnostic tests and limited high complexity testing.

- Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology Required or
- education and training equivalent to an associate degree to include 60 semester hours including either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses Required
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science Preferred
- 2 years in a clinical laboratory Required
- 3 years in a clinical laboratory with emphasis on skills related to work area Preferred
- Certification Medical Laboratory Technician by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent Preferred
