Speech Therapist - Wisconsin

Position Summary

Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders to help individuals improve communication and safe swallowing.

Job Duties

Provide direct patient care including assessments and treatments.
Complete patient documentation: initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
Contact insurance companies regarding patient benefits.
Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions.
Educate staff (nurses, physicians, dietitians, food service workers) on evaluation results and recommendations.
Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered treatment.
Clean treatment rooms after sessions.
Provide reminder calls to patients.
Assist patients and families in navigating the healthcare environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Employment Details

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Wisconsin
Current BLS certification
Experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist
