Key Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures
Perform high-quality nuclear medicine scans, including PET, SPECT, bone, cardiac, and organ imaging studies
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment while ensuring image quality and patient safety
Monitor patients during procedures and provide clear explanations regarding exams and expectations
Follow radiation safety guidelines and regulatory standards to protect patients, staff, and the public
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Maintain detailed records of procedures, radiopharmaceutical usage, and patient information
Ensure compliance with departmental protocols, quality assurance standards, and accreditation requirements

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Active New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (if applicable)
Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
BLS certification required
Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging procedures, and radiation safety practices
Experience with PET/CT and SPECT imaging preferred
Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
