Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (South Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Cardiac ICU/CVICU preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system a plus
• Ability to float to MICU, SICU, and other critical care or medical units as needed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to patients in the Cardiac ICU
• Manage and monitor patients with open heart surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, trauma, and medical overflow
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures: chest tubes, Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, Cordis lines, cardiac continuous output monitoring, JP drains, central lines, arterial lines, tracheostomy, PEG, and G/J tubes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EHR
• Float to other critical care and medical units as needed, supporting up to 4 patients
• Comply with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
