Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Georgia healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Assignment
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Shifts: 12-hour day shifts (start at 6:45 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Med/Surg RNs may float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and other hospital units
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience with at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment OR 4 years of Med/Surg RN experience without travel
• Active Registered Nurse license (Georgia or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ASLS certification preferred
• Experience with EMR systems (Meditech preferred)
• Ability to float and adapt to changing assignments during shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patients in the Med/Surg unit
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, RTs, and pharmacy staff
• Float to related units as needed (Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, JFW)
• Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
