Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680–$1800 per week

Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Southwest Georgia healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Acute Care – Medical-Surgical Unit (14 beds)
• Assignment Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Assignment End Date: April 13, 2026
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday (unit closed on weekends)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue or White scrubs
• Charting System: MEDITECH 6.1

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state (Georgia nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg RN role
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Proficient in basic Med/Surg nursing skills; cardiac experience preferred
• Must comply with strict 75-mile radius rule

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care for admission hold, overflow, and discharge pending patients in the Med/Surg unit
• Administer IV and PO medications as ordered, monitor blood glucose, and provide dietary nourishment
• Assist with complex toileting needs and oxygen therapy via nasal cannula
• Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and charge nurses (who may also take patient assignments)
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed based on census
• Complete unit-specific orientation (typically 3 shifts)
