Position: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Certifications or Licensures Required: Certified MA
Location: Bloomington, IN
Duration: 12-month Contract to Hire
Experience Required: 1 year of Experience
Job Description: Hospital Based outpatient department looking for a CMA to assist in their center.
Looking to Hire 2 CMAs with Different responsibilities:
Clinical MA work responsibilities: rooming patients, coordinating care with EMR messaging between multidisciplinary offices, communicating care needs with patients via phone, sending referrals, completing medication PAs. Orientation will consist of 2-3 weeks.
Administrative Medical Assistant: processing new patient referrals, completing procedure prior authorizations, scheduling patients, registering patients upon arrival, corresponding in EMR for scheduling and coordinating patient care, answering front office phone triaging to appropriate location. Orientation will consist of 4-6 weeks
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant certification is Required
- BLS is required (If CMA doesn't have BLS can get before starting)
- Medical Assistant Certification should be CAAHEP approved
- Previous MA Experience in a hospital outpatient setting preferred
- Previous Surgical Services experience
- Pain Management experience
