Cath Lab Tech Opportunity

Location: Redwood City, California
Facility: Sequoia Hospital

Position Details

• Specialty: Cath Lab Tech
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Orientation: 2-3 shifts with a preceptor, floor-specific
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: No weekends or holidays required
• Call: No call expected for travelers; experienced candidates willing to take call may have M-F call opportunities
• Floating: No floating required

Unit Information

• Unit: Cath Lab
• Beds/Suites: 6 suites including IR, EP, & Cath Lab
• Patient Volume:

  • Electrophysiology (EP): 80+ cases/month
  • Specials: 60-80 cases/month
  • Cath Lab: 30-50 cases/month
• Common Diagnoses/Procedures: Peripheral interventions, Interventional Oncology, pacemakers, ICDs, Therma cool, Impella; no TAVR currently but planned for future

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Fluoroscopy certification
• One of the following:

  • ARRT (Certified Cardiac Interventional Radiologic Technologist)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Additional Information

• EMR System: McKesson
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7
• Pharmacy: In-house until 10 pm; after hours coverage with auto verification and on-call pharmacist
• Charge Nurse: Provides break relief and support
• Nurse Aides: No cath lab techs available for assistance

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Techs seeking a travel assignment in a well-equipped hospital setting with a supportive team and no weekend or holiday shifts.
