Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Facility: University Medical Center

Facility Overview
- Banner - University Medical Center Tucson is Southern Arizona's only Level I Trauma Center.
- Specialty services include heart and cancer care, advanced neuroscience, and multi-organ transplant programs.
- Committed to providing outstanding patient care and training future medical professionals.
Candidate Requirements
- Residency: Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license will NOT be considered. A copy of the driver’s license must be included in the submission.
- Experience: Minimum 24 months of current Level I Trauma RRT experience (required).
- Certifications:
- Must have active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification at time of submission (required).
- BLS (AHA) and NBRC certifications required.
- Licensing:
- Active Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
- No license hits allowed.
- Compact license allowed.
- Vaccination: Flu vaccination required; declinations accepted with proper forms. Vaccination status must be noted in submission.
- Background: Must meet Banner’s specific background compliance requirements (attestation required).
- Preferred Experience: PICU/NICU and travel experience preferred.
Submission Requirements
- Fully completed Banner Cover Page.
- Resume detailing all facilities worked at, including facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units.
- Skills checklist specific to respiratory therapy, dated within the last year.
- Active license verification dated within the last 30 days.
- Current certifications included in submission.
- Driver’s license copy included.
- All requested departments and shifts the candidate is willing to work must be clearly listed.
- Ready to accept assignment upon submission (preclosed candidates only).
Assignment Details
- Start date should be on or very soon after the order start date.
- Return to Office (RTO) requests:
- Must be less than 7 days.
- Not approved during the first week of assignment or on holidays.
- Learning modules must be completed prior to assignment start.
- Non-billable hours adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
- Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center with advanced specialty services in a respected healthcare system.
