Description

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
Unit Type: Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry
Typical Diagnoses: Diabetes, post-op care, wound vacs, bariatrics
Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
Unit Beds: 33 beds, average daily census of 28
Electronic Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed
Call: None
Holiday Work: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (see below)
Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days; blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4-12)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
