Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks (89 days)
Job Summary
Provide specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients under general to limited supervision. Support medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex cardiovascular conditions using advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care in various settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Operate specialized imaging equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures within scope of practice.
- Independently conduct post-procedure reviews ensuring completeness, documentation, and technical quality per protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection following manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research to maintain competencies and improve care.
- Provide instruction, mentorship, and in-service training to less experienced team members.
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Skill in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and reliably report to work as scheduled.
- Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Strong record-keeping skills and accuracy with data such as names, numbers, and codes.
- Good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
- Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures relevant to the role.
- Professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative communication with staff, patients, and families.
- High initiative, effort, and commitment to efficiently complete assignments.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Core to intermediate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies.
- Ability to apply theory and techniques to perform, analyze, and document studies with limited supervision.
- Prioritize and complete clinical and non-clinical assignments independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required.
License Requirement
Must hold appropriate certification or registration relevant to the Cardiovascular Technologist specialty.
