Registered Nurse – Cath Lab

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days and Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call Monday to Thursday nights (5:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• On-call Friday through Sunday (24 hours) every 4th weekend and 1-2 weeknights per week
• Holiday on-call as needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Job Overview

• Work in a Cath Lab with 2 suites/labs, averaging 6 cases per day
• Patient types include coronary, interventional radiology (IR), and vascular procedures (no electrophysiology cases)
• Responsibilities include sedation, monitoring, and circulating during cases; scrubbing is not required
• Occasional floating to provide 1:1 sitter assistance
• Use of Cerner and Merge electronic medical records and equipment

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Experience with sedation and reversal agents
• Experience managing cardiac drips and medications

Additional Information

• Cardiologist on-call coverage includes evenings and weekends; 10 days per month on STEMI divert due to cardiology coverage
• IR call coverage is 10 days per month with a single IR provider
• Scrubs provided by the hospital (light blue)
• Orientation includes computer-based training assigned on day 1 and an orientation binder to complete within the first week
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying

On-Call and Coverage Details

• Evening and weekend on-call coverage required as described above
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• On-call duties include coverage for holidays as needed
