Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Georgia healthcare jobs)
Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Assignment
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: May 4, 2026
Duration: 17 weeks
Shifts: 12-hour day shifts (start at 6:45 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Med/Surg RNs may float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and other hospital units
Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience with at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment OR 4 years of Med/Surg RN experience without travel
Active Registered Nurse license (Georgia or compact state)
BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
ASLS certification preferred
Experience with EMR systems (Meditech preferred)
Ability to float and adapt to changing assignments during shifts
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patients in the Med/Surg unit
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, RTs, and pharmacy staff
Float to related units as needed (Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, JFW)
Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
