Description
The pharmacist is responsible for the preparation dispensing and monitoring of medications used throughout the facility The pharmacist is expected to sustain an environment for the safe rational effective and efficient use of medications prescribed to patients of all age groups Pharmacists are responsible for the direct supervision of technical support personnel All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws applicable regulatory agency standards professional practice standards and policies and procedures of the health system pharmacy department
ResponsibilitiesEducational Requirements Degree Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required Preferred and or Doctorate Pharmacy Required or Additional Requirements BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy Accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Experience Requirements Minimum Years Required Area of Experience Required Preferred and or Pharmacy Internship Required Additional Requirements Five years of professionally responsible pharmacist experience required for Bachelor s Degree holders One year recent inpatient hospital experience as staff pharmacist or pharmacy intern in a general medical surgical hospital preferred for PharmD candidates State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses Required Preferred and or Pharmacist License Required Certifications Registration Requirements Certificates Registrations Required Preferred and or 160;
