Department: Respiratory Care
Work Type: PRN
Shift: Shift 1/ Variable Hours - Will work mostly weekends
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.75 / hour
Summary
Maintains appropriate inventory levels of supplies and equipment for the Respiratory Department. Coordinates the ordering on non-stock supplies to ensure adequate levels. Cleans, decontaminates, and performs high level disinfection of all re-usable respiratory equipment. Maintains records of decontamination processes, maintains appropriate levels of disinfection supplies, and performs daily checks and maintenance on all decontamination equipment. Assembles equipment and performs maintenance and safety checks to assure that equipment is ready for patient use. Maintains airway boxes for the entire facility and rotates stock to ensure no expired equipment in boxes. Troubleshoots non-functioning equipment and coordinates with the Biomedical department to ensure equipment is repaired and functioning. Coordinates with LeeSar for new inventory items to catalog and ensure appropriate stock levels. Transports and distributes equipment to various locations within the facility. Assists with education and in-servicing of staff on proper equipment cleaning, use and competencies.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: None Required.
Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required.
License: N/A
Other: Basic computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Office. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
