Job Description

An excellent opportunity to join a unique adult medical/surgical unit that cares for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. This expanding unit seeks flexible, enthusiastic, and committed nurses to support our growth. Candidates must have med/surg acute care experience and a willingness to adapt to a varied patient population in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patients' health status and take necessary actions to ensure safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and families about health management and discharge planning.
• Participate in unit growth initiatives and support team development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License in New York (required)
• Two years of RN experience (required)
• Psychology experience (required)
• Telemetry experience (preferred)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• CPI certification (required)
