Schedule

The shift schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a guaranteed weekly hours of 36, and weekend hours required every other week or as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and stressful environment. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients of all ages on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit.
• Manage post-operative care for orthopedic procedures and total joints.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective treatment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing telemetry systems when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure to practice in Virginia.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, and NIH.
