Full Time 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist performs technical radiographic assignments and exercises complex skills, judgment, and knowledge of CT and Radiologic Technology. This role includes performing diagnostic radiographic studies as requested and operating portable diagnostic equipment when necessary while adhering to infection control protocols according to Universal Precautions. The technologist will provide care to patients across various age groups.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic, CT, image processors, and related equipment accurately across different modalities.
• Evaluate images for quality and demonstrate proper positioning based on procedure guidelines.
• Provide clear instructions to patients during procedures to help alleviate stress.
• Maintain competency in two specific modalities and ensure proper radiation protection measures are utilized.
• Demonstrate flexibility in assuming emergency calls on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines and carry out required QC activities.
• Perform radiographic and CT studies with and without IV contrast enhancement, covering various anatomical areas.
• Utilize RIS and PACS systems to manage patient exams and charges effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT certification
• NYS License
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience with solid Radiology/X-Ray experience or C-Arm experience.
• Siemens experience preferred.
