Job Description

The Emergency Department is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-acuity environments and be able to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer medications and provide interventions for various common diagnoses, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac events.
• Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Work with a variety of patients across the lifespan, effectively addressing their unique needs.
• Participate in floating to different areas within the department as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Current New York State RN license is required.
• Current certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Travel experience is required; candidates should provide documentation of prior travel assignments.
• Skills checklist matching the specialty must be submitted.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Driver's license with the address matching the demographic requirements is mandatory.
