Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both adult and pediatric emergency care and possess a strong aptitude for critical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in the emergency department, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.
• Triage patients effectively based on clinical assessments and established protocols.
• Perform advanced patient assessments, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including vasopressors and blood products.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP equipment.
• Maintain compliance with isolation precautions and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct procedural sedation and monitor patients' responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Valid New York RN license required in hand to submit.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required, TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is strongly preferred.
