Circulating Nurse - Surgery

Schedule

This position follows an 8-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional call responsibilities during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Circulating Nurse with experience in a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, podiatry, cataracts, OB/GYN, pain management, and oculoplasty. The candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Manage the surgical environment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Coordinate the patient care plan in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Monitor patient status during surgery and respond to any changes effectively.
• Participate in post-operative care and patient education as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired nursing license with call responsibility.
• BLS Certification required.
• Experience in circulating for various surgical disciplines is essential.
