Outpatient Physical Therapist

Schedule

40 hours/week; Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7 AM - 4 PM; Tuesday, Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patient's needs, goals, and physician directives. This position includes the delegation and direction of all therapy services for patients, ensuring functional treatment programs for effective return to community activities. The therapist acts as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers. Additionally, they must uphold safety standards, demonstrate professional behaviors consistent with the organization’s mission, and adhere to compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on patient discharge.
• Document patient care clearly and timely in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in student program assignments, creating a positive learning environment.
• Maintain and enhance professional skills through continuing education and professional involvement.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active physical therapist license in the state of practice.
