Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary: The ED Flow Coordinator provides direct supervision over the flow of the Emergency Department in accordance with established policies and procedures of HCA HealthONE Emergency Services. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the ED flow coordinator assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates flow plans. Demonstrates strong clinical assessment, nursing intervention, and strong communication/leadership skills. In addition to clinical responsibilities the ED flow coordinator provides Emergency Service support
II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi-State Licensure as a Registered Nurse
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through the American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course through the American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR within 90 days of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR within 90 days of hire
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) verification course, within 180 days of hire or signing this JD
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 180 days of hire or signing this JD
B. Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
C. Experience:
One year experience
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates good organizational skills, ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing services.
Ability to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
Computer skills
