Computed Tomography Technologist - (CT Tech)
StartDate: 8/12/2024 Available Shifts: 9 D/N/E Pay Rate: $1899.12 - $2188.12

CT Tech needed asap 1+ years experience MO lic required Performs diagnostic radiographic services • Operates imagining equipment • Operates other equipment/devices as appropriate • Positions patient • Immobilizes patients as necessary • Calculates exposure factors • Practices radiation protection • Evaluates radiographs for technical quality • Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations and procedures, and the ages of our patients range from newborn to the geriatrics • Practices aseptic technique as necessary • Assists physician with administration of contrast media and is familiar with possible reactions and appropriate response to such reactions • Recognizes signs and symptoms of an emergency and determines course of action • Initiates life support measures for patients, if necessary • Assumes responsibility to assure exams and procedures • Maintains IV skills if working weekdays • Contributes to patient records • Assumes responsibility for assigned area • Provides input for equipment and supply purchase decisions • Instructs specific units of didactic and/or clinical education, in the radiography program, if applicable • In the absence of a supervisor, assumes acting supervisory responsibilities if requested • Assumes responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program • Pursues ongoing continuing education • May control inventory and purchase of supplies for assigned area • Regularly assists in the clinical experience of the student of the student technologist • Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups, social and economic backgrounds • Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
