Job Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) providing care for patients with intermediate acuity including post-cardiac procedures and conditions such as MI and CHF.
Responsibilities:
- Administer care to direct admits and post-procedural patients
- Manage dysrhythmia and pacemaker malfunctions
- Provide backup support for stroke unit and medical overflow
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage titratable cardiac medications
Requirements:
- 1.5 years general nursing experience and 1 year specific to PCU
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Completion of an approved nursing education program
- Experience with cardiac procedural recovery and MI pharmacology
