Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Diagnostic)
Location: Bronx, New York
Employment Type: Acute - Allied
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
An Interventional Radiology Technologist assists interventional radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures using specialized instruments. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining imaging equipment, administering contrast dyes, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience using angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty, and stenting.
Education Requirements
- Associate’s degree from a Radiologic Technology program.
Certifications & Licensure
- Valid radiologic technologist license issued by NYSDOH (New York State Department of Health).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced-Level Certification from ARRT in one of the following:
- Cardiac Interventional Radiology (ARRT CI)
- Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (ARRT CV)
- Vascular Interventional Radiology (ARRT VI)
