Description
Registered Nurse (PCU Telemetry) - 13-Week Contract
Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Job Details
- Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Telemetry
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Unit Size: 21 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
- Floating Requirements:
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
- Float to ICU only for PCU patient status
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, if needed
- Additional Shift Requirements: Possible 2 extra mandatory shifts every 6 weeks
- Patient Population: Many cardiac patients, including post-Cath Lab patients
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Nebraska or multi-state compact license
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC approved
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA or ARC approved
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Experience:
- PCU/Telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience caring for post-Cath Lab patients preferred
Additional Information
- This is a traveler-friendly facility
- Nurses will be the first to float when required
- Night shift with 12-hour shifts and every other weekend coverage
