Surgical Tech Position - West Valley, Utah

Job Overview

  • Location: West Valley, Utah
  • Specialty: Surgical Tech
  • Shift: Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Hours: 8-10 hour shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • On-call: 2 weekdays and 1 weekend per month
  • Floating to nearby facility required

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist surgical team by arranging and inventorying sterile instruments and supplies
  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses during procedures
  • Prepare and move patients as needed
  • Sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and operating rooms
  • Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
  • Work under supervision of surgeon and RN

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience (strong orthopedic experience preferred)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or NCCT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
  • Registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license (to support floating within a 60-mile radius)

Additional Information

  • Week of orientation requires clinicians to be in-state, even if some modules are remote
  • Flexible scheduling may include overtime or hours beyond standard shifts
