Description
Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract
Location: Eureka, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Overview
- Acute care experience required.
- Must work every other weekend (every other weekend required).
- No call required.
- Floating between like units may be required based on need.
- Charting system: Epic.
- Locals accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience.
- Case Management experience within the last year.
- Acute Care experience.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
- NIHSS - NIH Stroke Certification.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually.
- Education verification required for nursing degree.
- Drug screen (9 panel) within 12 months of start.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- Respirator medical clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (updated annually).
Additional Requirements
- Must provide minimum 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required.
- Skills checklist required for applicable units, updated annually.
- Floating policy acknowledgment required (may float to other nearby facilities).
- Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation.
