    Description

    Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract

    Location: Eureka, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Overview

    • Acute care experience required.
    • Must work every other weekend (every other weekend required).
    • No call required.
    • Floating between like units may be required based on need.
    • Charting system: Epic.
    • Locals accepted.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California.
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
    • Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience.
    • Case Management experience within the last year.
    • Acute Care experience.
    • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
    • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
    • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
    • NIHSS - NIH Stroke Certification.

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually.
    • Education verification required for nursing degree.
    • Drug screen (9 panel) within 12 months of start.
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
    • Immunizations and health documents required:
      • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
      • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
    • Respirator medical clearance required annually for travel candidates.
    • Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (updated annually).

    Additional Requirements

    • Must provide minimum 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years required.
    • Skills checklist required for applicable units, updated annually.
    • Floating policy acknowledgment required (may float to other nearby facilities).
    • Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation.
