CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Texas, Bryan
Job Details
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours per Day: 12
- Hours per Week: 36
- Department: Radiology (CT)
- Work Locations: Float between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart
- Call Rotation: Every 6th week with a 30-minute response time; backup call only with someone always in-house
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Holidays: Occasional rotation with permanent staff
- Scrubs: Black scrubs required; not provided
- Orientation: Department-specific orientation required, including possible call shifts
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans with and without contrast
- Start IVs as needed
- May be asked to precept new staff as needed
- Handle approximately 16-24 scans per day
- Work with 3 GE scanners (one 16-slice and two 64-slice)
- Use Meditech EMR and Fuji PACS systems
- Provide coverage primarily during the day; radiologist available virtually at night for emergencies
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification
- Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
- Texas MRT license
- Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and inpatient settings
Additional Information
- Candidates must not have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any related facility within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable
- Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination
- No Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) support
- Float requirement between campuses is mandatory
