Description
Rehabilitation Therapy Contract Position
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract (26 weeks)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Day shift)
Job Overview
- Provide rehabilitation therapy services in both outpatient and acute inpatient settings.
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by physicians.
- Independently manage a full caseload and update treatment plans and home exercise programs regularly.
- Perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization requirements.
- Must be available to work on Hawaii State and Federal holidays as needed.
- Use department equipment and electronic medical records systems including Net Health Therapy and Meditech.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Hawaii.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, including experience within the last year.
- Experience working with adult patients in both outpatient and acute care settings.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Red Cross.
Additional Information
- Must arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Timely arrival is mandatory; do not accept the start date if unable to meet this requirement.
