Job Opportunity: 2nd Shift X-Ray Technologist
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under physician protocols, providing compassionate, age-specific care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and compliance with radiation and fluoroscopic safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to hospital safety standards and radiation safety protocols (ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely).
- Follow patient identification, safety procedures, and department policies consistently.
- Perform a variety of radiological procedures independently with technical proficiency.
- Conduct equipment quality control and accurately document all imaging records.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Support department operations by correctly entering billing codes in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Instruct students and new staff after one year of experience.
- Comply with all policies, including those related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT-R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs).
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, crawling.
- Constant repetitive motions and eye/hand/foot coordination.
Required Onboarding & Compliance Documentation
- Valid permanent professional licenses and certifications with primary source verification. Temporary licenses are not accepted.
- Proof of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Tdap vaccinations or titers as specified.
- Fit test completed within one year prior to start (specific respirator models required).
- 2-Step TB test or IGRA within 6 months; if positive, clear chest x-ray and current TB questionnaire required.
- Physical exam within one year prior to start confirming ability to work without restrictions.
- COVID-19 vaccine proof or approved exemption (preferred, not required).
- Drug screen within 60 days prior to start (10-panel, no instant screens).
- Criminal background check, including fingerprinting and national databases, completed within 6 months prior to start.
- Social Security trace, OIG search, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC clearance within 6 months prior to start.
- Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance, with annual renewal.
- Submission of a skills checklist, competency exam (minimum 80% score), and core competencies (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics) completed within one year prior to start.
- Valid non-expired photo ID.
- Submission packet including resume, professional references (within 2 years), job application, and employment verification within 5 years.
- Badge photo (headshot with plain background) for identification.

- Must demonstrate ability to work independently and maintain competency in imaging skills.
- Commitment to hospital mission, core values, and compliance with all policies is essential.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks related to billing and documentation is required.
