MRI Technologist (Temporary, Nights)

Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 8

Job Summary

• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for patients of all ages, including inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide education and instructions as appropriate.
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed.
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and department policies.
• Administer contrast media using age-appropriate protocols.
• Assist radiologists with MRI procedures as requested.
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, including warm-up, calibration, safety checks, and quality control per manufacturer guidelines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Use hospital computer systems for documentation and reporting.
• Perform assigned supervisory functions.
• Demonstrate courteous and respectful communication aligned with customer service standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with GE MRI equipment.
• ARRT Certification (AMRIT certification not accepted).
• Current BLS certification.
