Description
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position
Location
- Portland, Maine
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 26 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: 36 per month (unless otherwise noted)
- Call requirement: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift
Job Description
- Replacement for full-time night shift staff member
- Float requirements include working as RRT in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency department, adult acute, and critical care
- Work covers the entire facility as part of a team of 14-16 RRTs
Patient Care & Unit Information
- Patient ratios: Acute care 1:25, Critical care 1:8
- Equipment used: Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Type of patients: varied, including tertiary, teaching hospital, and level 1 trauma cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
- Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Experience working with Pediatric, Neonate, and Adult patients
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic respiratory therapy
