Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (Cardiac Telemetry)
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Facility Overview
- 20-bed Intermediate Care/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) with Trauma Level III designation
- Patient population: Adult and Geriatric (no pediatrics)
- Patient ratios: 1:4 in IMC / 1:5 in Telemetry
- Equipment: Philips monitoring system
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Epic
Position Details
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Intermediate Care / Cardiac Telemetry
- Shift hours: Approximately 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Call requirements: None
- Float requirements: Yes
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care, with at least 1 year of recent Cardiac PCU experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Clinical Focus & Common Diagnoses
- Care for patients with stable STEMI and post-cardiac procedures
- Medical intermediate care patients
